Flag Retirement Ceremony February 2025

Veteran's respect the flag, from its raising for the very first time, to the end of its life.  We use the American flag code to honor the flag. And when a flag needs to be retired, we honor the flag with a flag retirement ceremony.

A flag retirement ceremony is a solemn and respectful way to dispose of a U.S. flag that is no longer fit for use—whether it's torn, faded, or worn out. The United States Flag Code outlines the proper method for retiring a flag: it should be destroyed in a dignified manner, preferably by burning. And this is our latest flag retirement ceremony.
