Four Chaplains Day is commemorated every year to honor four military chaplains who sacrificed their own lives to save their fellow service members during a tragic event in World War II, the sinking of the USAT Dorchester. This year, the American Legion Riders at Post 183 rode over to Post 243, joined by others from Post 183, to honor the 4 chaplains that willingly gave their lives to save the lives of others on the ship.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
